Kosovo’s #parliament adopted a new #Law on the Kosovo Specialist #Chambers on October 6, 2026, seeking to amend the existing legislation by limiting the #Hague-based court’s mandate, jurisdiction, and maximum sentencing powers. However, just two weeks later, the president returned the law to parliament for revision. “Rather than trying to change the rules, Kosovo must work within them, funding the best legal representation and providing diplomatic and political support.
