euinkosovo 🇪🇺 Helping Kosovo businesses become more competitive, strengthen their participation in the regional market and gain greater access to the EU Single Market is the aim of two new EU-funded policy briefs presented today at a roundtable opened by EU in Kosovo Political Head Bogusław Gertruda and Deputy Minister of Trade Jeton Mehmeti. Prepared by Berlin Economics, a consultancy with over 15 years of experience advising governments, the briefs identify opportunities for Kosovo’s metal and wood processing, construction materials and plastics industries to join European value chains. They also assess Kosovo’s implementation of CEFTA and Common Regional Market commitments, identifying trade barriers and recommending reforms to overcome them. “The EU Growth Plan offers a clear strategic direction: to accelerate economic convergence and bring tangible benefits before accession. Regional integration through CEFTA and the Common Regional Market is not separate from this journey, but an essential step along it,” said Gertruda.
