ymcakosovo 🤝 Building Bridges Between Civil Society and the Private Sector! As part of Mary Tikalsky’s visit to Kosovo, Mary, together with Dorina Lluka-Davies, Regional Lead for Western Balkan YMCA Development, had the pleasure of visiting the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo (AmCham Kosovo) to explore opportunities for stronger collaboration. Discussions focused on a shared priority: equipping young people with the skills, confidence, and opportunities they need to enter the labour market and contribute meaningfully to their communities. Mary shared valuable insights from over three decades of international experience, highlighting how YMCA of the USA World Service has supported YMCAs around the world in strengthening their programmes, partnerships, and impact. The meeting also explored opportunities to expand cooperation with American Chambers of Commerce across the Western Balkans and Bulgaria, connecting regional YMCA initiatives with private-sector expertise, networks, and opportunities. A sincere thank you to Arian and the AmCham Kosovo team for their warm hospitality, openness, and willingness to explore future collaboration. It is inspiring to see AmCham Kosovo championing values closely associated with American enterprise—entrepreneurship, innovation, opportunity, and community engagement—while contributing to Kosovo's economic and social development. Such partnerships demonstrate how these values can translate into meaningful opportunities for businesses, young people, and communities. We are equally grateful for AmCham Kosovo's contribution to our LINK Conference and its commitment to strengthening cooperation between civil society and the business community.
